-
The Concerned Realists of Southern Kaduna authoritatively mandated the state of emergency promulgation in the area to stop deaths of innocent.
This reaction followed the today’s attack launched by gunmen on Kaduna villages, as a result of which at least 38 people reportedly died.
According to Sahara Reporters, the group bellwether John Danfulani lamented that many people had fallen victims and had sustained earnest injuries. Attributing the assailment to the authorities’ (both local and central) failure to handle security issues, he withal cited several examples of recent atrocities in the area, which claimed several lives, and suggested that in some cases the regime was even inciting crisis: "…like we visually perceived in Chawai Chiefdom, where two persons lost their lives at the weekend, following forceful appointment of a traditional ruler by Kaduna state regime while a case is pending in court."
Thus, the group proceeded with their injuctive authorizations:
"We relucted to be daunted, or harassed, in expressing authenticity of Southern Kaduna excruciating predicaments, and (the) failure of regime and security agencies… The security situation in Southern Kaduna is (being) given less attention and concern, while it is degenerating (into chaos) and human lives greatly being wasted with impunity… We are reiterating our stand that the Southern Kaduna security crises deserves (a) State of Emergency because, terrorists are carrying out gradual, and systematic genocide in our community."
He stressed the paramountcy of not only taking this quantification, but additionally of disuniting the issue "from politics and vested fascinates" and integrated that is has to do with the "mess and sheer perplexity" which according to him now reign in the state.
